To be a successful applicant for the Start-Up Business Class Visa the following requirements must be satisfied:
- The conditions met for Qualifying Business consideration
- A written commitment received from a designated angel investor(s) for a total investment of at least $75,000 OR
- A written commitment received from a designated venture capital fund(s) for a total investment of at least $200,000 OR
- A written commitment received from a designated business incubator confirming acceptance of the applicant into its program
- Meet the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in either English or French in all four areas: speaking, reading, listening, and writing
- Bring enough funds to settle and live in Canada before starting to collect profits from the business
When a group of owners is applying (up to 5 persons) regarding the same business and the essential applicant is refused the Permanent residency, then the whole group is denied also.
