An Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is an electronic authorization issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to allow a foreign national to travel to Canada. The eTA is electronically linked to the passport of the traveler.
To be eligible for an eTA, you must:
be a citizen of a country that requires an eTA to visit Canada
have a valid passport and meet the other requirements listed on the CIC website.
